Cochrane joined the Endowment in 1980 after eight years as a hospital administrator. At the Endowment, he served as Director of Health Care and as Executive Vice President prior to becoming President in 2005. Cochrane is a member of the Kate B. Reynolds Trustee Advisory Committee, the Board of Trustees of Council on Foundations and participates in many local community organizations.

Morehead joined the Endowment in 2007. Prior to his arrival, he was a shareholder at Robinson, Bradshaw & Hinson, P.A., in Charlotte, N.C., and concentrated on trusts and estates and tax law. Morehead is a member of the North Carolina and South Carolina Bars.

Prior to her work with the Endowment, McConnell served more than 20 years in Human Resources between The Vanguard Group and Duke Energy Corporation. Currently, she holds certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.

A native of Cary, N.C., Todd graduated from UNC Chapel Hill, where he majored in Political Science and Peace, War & Defense and minored in Geography. He earned a Master’s degree in Teaching at Johns Hopkins University’s Peabody School of Education. Since 2009, Todd has taught math and science in Baltimore City Public Schools through Teach for America. He also worked as a program facilitator with Baltimore BORN, a nonprofit that provides opportunities and resources for boys in the Oliver neighborhood of East Baltimore. Todd designed after-school programming and instruction for fifth and seventh graders, and created and implemented a reading program for middle school students.

A native of Boca Raton, Fla., Strader graduated from the Love School of Business at Elon University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. After earning her undergraduate degree, she joined Teach for America in Philadelphia and taught for two years at an alternative high school for students at risk for expulsion. In her first year, she won the Teacher of the Year honor for the Camelot Alternative Schools network. While teaching, Strader also earned a Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.

Mabry joined the Endowment in 1992 as Associate Director of Health Care. In 1998, he assumed the role of Director of Child Care. Currently, Mabry serves on the North Carolina Governor's Early Childhood Advisory Council and is on the boards of the Southeastern Council of Foundations and North Carolina Center for Public Policy Research.

Redmond joined the Endowment in 2000 after serving as executive director of the Children’s Law Center in Charlotte, N.C. Prior to that, he was in private practice. Redmond is chairman of the North Carolina Network of Grantmakers and serves on the board of the Council on Accreditation.

With 30 years experience in the communications field, she has held senior positions with United Way and other nonprofits in Charleston, S.C., and Roanoke, Va. Bacon joined the Endowment in 2009 after five years as a grantmaker and evaluator at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation in California. Previously, he led research and evaluation in social service and academic settings, and served as an evaluation consultant in the fields of mental health, youth development and teen pregnancy prevention. He holds a doctorate in psychology from Johns Hopkins University.

Rogers joined the Endowment in 1996 after four years with KPMG as a Senior Auditor. Rogers worked for ten years as the Endowment's Controller and in 2006 was promoted to Treasurer. Rogers is a Certified Public Accountant, and is a member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.

Zhang joined the Endowment in 2010 after working as a group controller in the Institutional Trust and Retirement department at Wachovia/Wells Fargo in Charlotte. Zhang also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and at PFPC Global Mutual Fund Services. Piepenbring joined the Endowment in 2000, after seven years as Vice President in Administration at Carolinas HealthCare System. In addition to leading the Health Care program area, she also oversees the Endowment’s Evaluation Department. She is a Commissioner of the North Carolina Medical Care Commission, a board member of the North Carolina Center for Hospital Quality and Patient Safety and the South Carolina Office of Rural Health, and a member of the Southeastern Council of Foundations Leadership Team of the EngAGEment Initiative. In addition, Piepenbring serves on the Editorial Board of the North Carolina Medical Journal. Piepenbring has received the Ronald H. Levine Legacy Award for contributions to Public Health in North Carolina, the North Carolina Hospital Association Meritorious Service Award and the American College of Healthcare Executives Regent’s Award.

Hollowell currently serves on the boards of the Care Share Health Alliance and AccessHealth SC. Sales joined the Endowment in 2007 after working as the childhood obesity program officer at the North Carolina Health and Wellness Trust Fund in Raleigh. Prior to that, she worked as the program director for the U.S. Postal Service Headquarters Health Promotion Program. Sales is a certified education specialist. Webb chairs the Rural Life Committee of the North Carolina Council of Churches and he's vice chair of the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church's Council on Campus Ministry.

Richardson-Frick joined the Endowment in 2012. An ordained elder in the South Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church, she has served as associate and senior pastor at several United Methodist churches in South Carolina. A certified ministry coach, Richardson-Frick’s involvement with the South Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church has included chair of the Committee on Episcopacy and chair of the Orangeburg District Committee on Congregational Development.
